You can stop worrying now, Dad.
I’m still alive, I promise! I have just been busy. I am satisfied with my job at the City Council, they’re keeping me occupied with assorted map-y duties. It’s part time, so I’m looking for another part time GIS job to fill the gaps.
Last weekend a coworker took me skiing with some friends. We went to Mt Ruapehu, and I was able to ski just fine after a few short runs runs down the bunny hill. Not bad, considering I hadn’t been on skis in two years. The four of us camped in a tent (in winter, not the greatest of ideas) and we all made it out alive enough to go to some hot pools. Geothermal power for the win!
I have an interview next week sometime for a position with NZ Post that I know nothing about other than that it’s GIS-related.
The weather here has been gorgeous. It’s springtime!
Everyone here is pro-Obama. I haven’t encountered any anti-American sentiment.
